Job summary

ProCare Therapy in Washington is seeking a contracted School-Based Physical Therapist to support students within a school setting near Spanaway. The role starts in September and focuses on contributing to students’ independence through targeted therapy services.

You will assess needs, deliver direct therapy, document progress, and collaborate with educators and families to promote success and well-being in the educational context.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Washington state.
• Experience working with children/adolescents, preferably in education or pediatric settings.
• Familiarity with school-based therapy practices, IEP processes, and related documentation.
• Strong collaboration skills with teachers, clinicians, and families.

Responsibilities

• Assess students and develop individualized plans based on educational needs.
• Deliver direct therapy to improve mobility and functional independence in school settings.
• Document progress and ensure compliance with school/district guidelines.
• Consult with teachers, staff, and parents/guardians to support student success and best practices for physical wellness.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to contribute to IEP development and updates.
• Provide training and resources to school staff as needed.
