Job summary

Shore Educational Collaborative Chelsea - Student Services in Chelsea, MA is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide educationally relevant services to students ages 3–22 in accordance with DESE and IDEA. The PT will address gross motor, mobility, and access needs within school contexts.

Responsibilities include screenings, evaluations, IEP goals, collaboration with families and staff, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Massachusetts.
• Experience with school-based physical therapy is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.

Responsibilities

• Screening and pre-referral activities to identify students needing PT services.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for eligibility under DESE/IDEA.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and related services.
• Provide direct and indirect PT services (individual, small group, classroom-based).
• Collaborate with families to support home-school transfer of mobility and function.
• Maintain accurate timely documentation and progress reports.
• Coordinate with staff on mobility, positioning, and accessibility during the school day.
