Career Links is seeking a School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 school year in Sycamore, IL. This full-time, in-person role focuses on evaluating students for special education and 504 eligibility, and works with a partner to support intervention planning and data-based decisions.

The position requires an Illinois PEL in School Psychology and experience with IEP/504 processes. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid Illinois PEL with a School Psychologist endorsement issued by ISBE.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, MTSS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and reevaluations for students referred for special education and Section 504 eligibility.
• Administer, score, and interpret psychological, educational, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments.
• Prepare written evaluation reports and present findings to multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, providing recommendations based on assessment data.
• Collaborate with a school psychologist partner to support referrals, intervention planning, and student services.
• Participate in MTSS, problem-solving teams, and data review meetings.
• Consult with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families regarding student needs and interventions.
• Maintain compliance with timelines and documentation requirements.

Position Overview

The School Psychologist will play a key role in supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success through comprehensive evaluation services and collaborative problem-solving. This position focuses primarily on completing initial evaluations and reevaluations for special education and Section 504 eligibility determinations while partnering closely with another school psychologist to support student intervention and data-based decision-making processes.

Qualifications

• Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, special education procedures, and MTSS frameworks.
• Strong assessment, report-writing, and consultation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a school setting.
• Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations across diverse student populations.
• Familiarity with Illinois special education regulations and compliance requirements.
