Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a GameChanger Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is full-time and focused on bridging the school community with the GameChanger organization to prevent youth substance use.

You will lead and participate in trainings, coordinate data collection, and help sustain prevention activities and student leadership groups within the district’s schools.

Qualifications

• /Bachelor's degree required across education and role.
• 3 years of experience within the school community.
• Experience as a student or youth group leader in clubs, churches, or at school.
• Current Driver's license.
• Endorsement from school leadership (principal).

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between the school community and GameChanger.
• Explain and promote substance-use prevention strategies among youth.
• Attend and support data collection efforts (surveys, pre/post tests).
• Support monthly data collection and reporting in school (GAP meetings).
• Lead monthly Prevention Activity discussions using the National Awareness Month calendar.
• Help build a prevention team within the school.
• Lead GAP meetings and related subcommittees with data-driven decisions.
• Participate in adult trainings and PLCs with other GameChanger schools.
• Involve in Intensive Student Education days at elementary level.
• Develop sustainability with GameChanger, e.g., ISE lessons.
• Support nonuse Peer Leadership groups in middle/high schools.
