Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or eligibility.
• Experience in school-based or pediatric PT preferred.
• Knowledge of PT best practices in educational settings.
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Collaborative approach with teachers, staff, and families.
• Familiarity with documentation and compliance in healthcare or educational environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and screenings to determine students’ physical therapy needs.
• Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans.
• Provide direct PT services to students, adapting interventions to meet unique abilities.
• Educate staff and families on strategies to support students’ functional skills.
• Document progress and maintain thorough records that adhere to school and regulatory standards.
• Attend IEP meetings, sharing expertise and advocating for students’ needs.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and school meetings as required.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for students to achieve their maximum potential.
