Job summary

Child'sPlay Therapy Center in Pell City, AL seeks a licensed physical therapist (PT) or physical therapist assistant (PTA) to join our school team part-time. You will provide individual therapy, complete documentation, and collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student goals.

This role offers a supportive mentorship network, ongoing training, and opportunities to contribute to IEP planning and cross-setting collaboration.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice physical therapy in Alabama.
• Pediatric therapy experience or other experience working with children in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy services for clients.
• Complete all required documentation for clients.
• Collaborate with Child'sPlay colleagues and school team to discuss progress and recommendations for clients.
• PT only - Perform diagnostic evaluations and document, analyze, and interpret results.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education coordinators, and other service providers to help clients reach their goals.
• Attend IEP meetings to advocate for the clients school-based services.
• Participate in our mentorship network as either mentee or mentor.

The Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated PT or PTA to join our school team part-time. This is a desirable school system outside of the metro Birmingham area. This is an ideal opportunity to join a practice with over 10 years of history delivering therapeutic services in the academic setting.
