Job summary

Kid Clan Services is seeking a School-Based Physical Therapist to join our team in Newark, NJ. The role focuses on assessments, plan development, and intervention to support student participation.

You will collaborate with educators, parents, and professionals to implement individualized interventions within IEPs, promote skills across settings, and monitor progress. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligibility is required; independent contractor status with hourly pay is offered,

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' skills.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, in collaboration with the IEP team and other stakeholders.
• Provide direct intervention services to students, including therapeutic activities, exercises, and adaptive equipment/training, both individually and in groups.
• Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and promote the generalization of skills across settings.
• Monitor students' progress regularly, adjust intervention plans as needed, and communicate outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide consultation, education, and training to parents, teachers, and other professionals to enhance understanding and support of students' needs.

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions that support students' participation in academic, social, and extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' skills.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, in collaboration with the IEP team and other stakeholders.
• Provide direct intervention services to students, including therapeutic activities, exercises, and adaptive equipment/training, both individually and in groups.
• Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and promote the generalization of skills across settings.
• Support students in developing skills necessary for successful participation in school activities.
• Monitor students' progress regularly, adjust intervention plans as needed, and communicate outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide consultation, education, and training to parents, teachers, and other professionals to enhance understanding and support of students' needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, intervention plans, progress notes, and other required paperwork in compliance with legal and professional standards.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Physical Therapist.

Salary: Independent Contractor rate of $85-95/hr commensurate with experience
