Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Evansville, IN is hiring a Registered Nurse to work with pediatric patients during their school day. Locations include Newburgh, Evansville and Boonville. Schedule: 7am-3pm + option for 8am-2pm.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for pediatric clients during school-based assignments.
• Initiates care plans and requests revisions from prescriber as patient needs change.
• Implements therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions aligned with diagnoses and goals.
• Intervenes and reports changes in patient condition to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, discharge planning as applicable.
