The Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center, part of the State of Indiana, seeks an experienced RN to support program administration and pediatric care. The role involves coordinating daily patient care, developing treatment plans with clinical staff, and ensuring accurate documentation.

You will administer medications, design nursing care plans, supervise support staff, and uphold safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Understand and apply medical and facility terminology.
• Interpret nursing and facility policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication.
• Advocate for patients.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain composure.
• Support individuals with behavioral or emotional needs.
• Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and organize the daily care of patients.
• Coordinate care plans with clinical staff and develop treatment plans.
• Direct staff to coordinate workflow and report issues to supervisors.
• Document nursing notes, transfers, and records accurately.
• Provide orientation and support to unit staff.
