Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Evansville, IN is hiring for a Registered Nurse to support pediatric patients during the school day. Locations include Newburgh, Evansville and Boonville. Schedule: 7am-3pm with an option for 8am-2pm.

You will assess, plan, implement and document care, administer medications as prescribed, and monitor patient status. Requires RN license in the state, health certificate, PPD or chest x-ray, and BLS certification. Competitive pay with weekly paychecks and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility RN contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and revises as needed.
• Incorporates nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and goals.
• Intervenes in response to changes in patient status and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and monitors effectiveness.
• Reviews plan of care and setup for education, care coordination, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:
