HCP Talent invites applications for an Occupational Therapy Assistant in a school-based program located in the Bronx, NY. You will support the occupational therapist with assessments and implement therapy plans to enhance students' motor skills and daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting is required.
• New York State licensure as OTA is required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the occupational therapist in evaluating a patient's functional abilities and needs.
• Carrying out treatment plans including exercises to improve motor skills and sensory integration.
• Teaching patients how to use assistive devices for independence in daily tasks.
• Monitoring progress and documenting changes, reporting findings to the OT.
• Instructing patients and caregivers on proper techniques for daily activities and home exercises.
