Job summary

Maricopa Unified School District is seeking an Occupational Therapist to screen, evaluate and provide functional, developmental, sensory and perceptual educationally relevant therapy for students.

The role is exempt under a 190-day contract, reporting to the Director of Exceptional Student Services and school Principals. Required are an Arizona OT license and pediatric therapy experience; duties include team collaboration, documentation and adaptive equipment orders.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in Occupational Therapy (OT).
• Experience with pediatric therapy and school-based services is preferred.
• Candidates must be able to maintain HIPAA confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates students’ motor and self-help functioning.
• Collaborates with teams to determine eligibility for services.
• Maintains documentation of therapy activities and evaluations.
• Provides adaptive equipment fabrication and training.
• Delivers in-service training to staff and parents.
