Job summary

Adecco Healthcare & LifeSciences is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based position in New York, NY. The role features a 10-month academic year, full-time schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM, and a salary range of $72,000 to $100,000 per year.

Responsibilities include assessments, individualized therapy plans, progress documentation, and collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.

Qualifications

• Valid and current New York State Occupational Therapy License and/or Certification.
• Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a school-based environment.
• Ability to walk, run, sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift as required to safely support students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formal and informal assessments to determine student needs.
• Provide individualized occupational therapy services and interventions.
• Develop therapy plans and progress reports in collaboration with school staff.
• Maintain accurate student records, attendance, service logs, and documentation.
• Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals regarding student progress.
• Participate in team meetings, CSE meetings, workshops, and professional development.
• Ensure required make-up sessions are completed.
• Follow assigned schedules and maintain a professional, collaborative working environment.
