Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct school-based therapy for students from early childhood through second grade in a Prospect Heights, IL setting. The role runs during the academic year with daily hours from 7:55 am to 2:55 pm, five days a week.

The ideal candidate will hold current OT licensure, have experience in school-based therapy, and be adept at collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student independence and participation.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in school-based occupational therapy.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families.
• COTAs are not eligible for this position.
• Enthusiasm for working with young children (EC, K, 1, 2).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy to students within their school setting.
• Assess student needs and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Document sessions, progress, and records.
• Consult with teachers and participate in team meetings as needed.
• Support students' occupational development to promote learning.
• Adjust therapy plans to meet evolving goals.
