Job summary

Mary Cariola Center, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide clinical programs aligned with each student’s IEP and to conduct individual or group sessions on-site. You will support classroom staff with therapeutic programs and contribute to home and school plans.

The role emphasizes sensory-motor strategies, adaptive equipment planning, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team while maintaining thorough documentation. NYS OT licensure or in pursuit is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• NYS Occupational Therapy license (or in pursuit of).
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (preferred).
• Prior experience in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with sound clinical programs to meet their Occupational Therapy needs as outlined on their IEP.
• Conduct clinical programs in individual and/or group sessions as per the IEP.
• Provide on-going consultation, training, and support for classroom staff to carry over therapeutic programs.
• Provide students with appropriate sensory motor programs.
• Work cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team responsible for coordinating and implementing goals and recommendations for each student.
• Maintain written documentation in accordance with departmental and agency regulations.
