Job summary

Boothby Therapy Services is seeking a part-time School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) for St. George, Maine. You will provide OT services to K–12 students, conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and deliver direct therapy in a school setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and SLPs, with opportunities for future placements and competitive pay based on experience. Maine licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Active Maine Occupational Therapist license (required).
• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or OTD).
• Experience or interest in pediatrics, school-based therapy, or special education.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based occupational therapy services to students.
• Conduct OT evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement IEP goals.
• Deliver direct therapy (individual and small group sessions).
• Support students with fine motor skills and handwriting.
• Address sensory processing and sensory integration.
• Support executive functioning and organization.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, PTs, and SLPs.
• Recommend accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology.
• Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions.
• Maintain documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.
