Job summary

St. George School in Maine seeks an Occupational Therapist for 2 days per week to support students with disabilities and collaborate with education staff. Qualifications

Job description

St. George School is a community-centered PK-8 public school located in picturesque Mid-Coast Maine. We are committed to academic excellence, community engagement, Expeditionary Learning, and teachers working in teams to innovate, educate, and develop as professionals.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (2 days a week) to join our school community next school year (2026-2027). This person will collaborate with special education and regular education staff in the development, implementation, and coordination of therapies for students with disabilities. Additionally, the Occupational Therapist will support integration of activities and skills through an MTSS model in PreK classrooms to support development of regulation, self-help, fine and gross motor skills.

The ideal candidate for this position will excel at collaborating with teams of colleagues to develop comprehensive, targeted interventions for students; evaluating student ability and formulate an occupational profile; participating in the development of Individualized Education Programs; and documenting services and maintaining records in accordance with school district policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.

This position requires a State of Maine Occupational Therapist license and Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check certifications. Applications will be accepted until a suitable candidate is found.
