Job summary

Northwestern Illinois Association is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support students across school settings for the 2026-2027 year. The OT will assess needs, develop plans, and implement interventions to promote academic, social, and physical success.

The role requires Illinois licensure eligibility, and candidates should be proficient with school-based technology and Microsoft/Google tools. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package, a defined pension plan, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Illinois licensure or eligibility to practice in Illinois.
• Proficiency with school-based technology and office equipment (Microsoft and Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations of students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services aligned with students' IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments.
• Maintain records in compliance with school district and state regulations.
• Participate in IEP meetings.
