Reach for the Stars Learning Center in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a full or part-time Occupational Therapist to begin immediately. This private not-for-profit school serves children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and expects experienced professionals to manage a small caseload and provide both individual and group OT services.

Responsibilities include creating and updating IEP goals, conducting assessments, documenting progress, and collaborating with teachers.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current New York State occupational therapy license required.

Responsabilidades

• Manage small caseload.
• Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services.
• Organize and adapt programs to meet student skill level.
• Conduct, score and analyze assessments.
• Create, score and update OT IEP goals.
• Complete annual progress reports and evaluation reports.
• Daily documentation notes of individual and group occupational therapy sessions.
• Actively participate in OT Dept meetings and individual supervision time.
• Collaborate with team members and participate in weekly team meetings.
• Recommend and implement appropriate therapeutic programs and interventions.
• Train, assist and provide OT in-service to classroom staff on therapeutic programs.
• Provide weekly progress updates to parents.
• Prepare for and participate in IEP meetings for students on caseload.
