Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a contract Occupational Therapist to provide school-based services in the South Lyon, MI area. You will collaborate with educational teams to support students’ participation in daily school activities, delivering targeted OT interventions from September to December with potential extension if staffing allows.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license in Michigan.
• Experience with school-based OT practices preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Passion for supporting children's learning and independence.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ functional abilities and needs within the classroom setting.
• Design and implement evidence-based interventions for fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into daily classroom activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines.
• Communicate progress and strategies to families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Adapt services as needed to best support each student.
