Job summary

HFM BOCES is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work in our school-based Special Education Program. Sites include Ft. Plain, Canajoharie, Gloversville and Mayfield.

This part‑time position may increase to full‑time and includes evaluation, consultation, and direct therapy services to students with disabilities. The therapist collaborates with teachers, families and the multidisciplinary team to support participation and success in educational activities.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be a New York State Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with school-based or pediatric settings preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, families and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, consultation, and direct therapy services to students with disabilities in a special education setting.
• Assess fine motor, sensory processing, visual‑motor, self‑care, and functional school‑related skills.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans and monitor IEP progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable special education regulations.
