Job summary

LLA Therapy in Northeast Ohio is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support school-based programs in Elyria and nearby districts. You will work closely with therapists and teachers to implement plans and document progress, ensuring families understand goals and progress.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current Ohio OTA license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced school environment and collaborate with teams.
• Excellent communication with families and school personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload.
• Collaborate with supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Document and monitor the patient’s progress and effects of treatment.
• Educate families on the patient’s individualized treatment plans.
• Document, monitor, analyze, and report students’ progress and effects of treatment regularly.
• Attend and report evaluation findings and therapy recommendations in family friendly language during IEP/ETR meetings.
• Contribute to building a positive, supportive, and learning culture through collaboration with school personnel and families.
• Maintenance and documentation of ongoing therapy minutes and report due-dates.
• Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
