Job summary

Jeffco Public Schools in Colorado is seeking an Occupational Therapist for central-based leave coverage for the 26-27 school year. This is a 1.0 FTE, 185-day position with Exempt status and a starting salary in the 56k-75k range based on licensure and experience.

The OT will support students under IDEA through IEP goals, conducting assessments, providing direct and consultative services, collaborating with educators and families, and ensuring educationally relevant therapy within school

Qualifications

Must hold a Colorado Special Service Provider License or be eligible for three year Special Service Provider license.
Must be certified by the National Certification Board of Occupational Therapists (NCBOT).
Must be verified by the Department of Regulatory Agency (DORA) prior to hire.

Responsibilities

Promote functional independence and participation in educational settings through OT services aligned with IEP goals.
Deliver direct OT services and provide consultative support to teachers, families, and other professionals as needed.
Administer and interpret educationally relevant assessments to inform interventions and eligibility.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop, implement, and coordinate IEPs.
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally to coordinate services and document progress.
Travel between schools/sites as required to support students.
