Job summary

Onward Search Education is partnering with a Maricopa County school to hire a part-time Occupational Therapist for K-12 students. The role involves in-person service delivery for the 2026/2027 school year, with evaluations, IEP-aligned treatment plans, and collaboration with educators and families.

Responsibilities include direct and indirect OT services, progress documentation, and participation in IEP meetings, all within district and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current AZ OT license or ability to obtain before start date.
• Experience with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
• Knowledge of IEPs and school-based therapy practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage documentation and maintain records.
• Familiarity with assistive technology and sensory integration strategies.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred if required by district.

• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans in accordance with students' IEP goals.
• Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, evaluations, and therapy records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
• Recommend and support the use of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications when appropriate.
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy interventions based on outcomes and educational needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions regarding student services and accommodations.
• Support compliance with applicable special education regulations and professional standards.
