Onward Search Education is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a part-time role with our partner school district in Maricopa County, AZ. You will evaluate students, develop IEP-aligned treatment plans, and provide direct and indirect OT services in in-person settings, with collaboration across teachers, administrators, and families.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in OT and an AZ license (or ability to obtain before starting).

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate students to identify functional, developmental, sensory, fine motor, and self-care needs impacting educational performance.
• Develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct and indirect OT services to students in individual and group settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, admins, related service providers, and families to support student success.
• Maintain documentation, progress notes, evaluations, and therapy records per district/state/federal requirements.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications when appropriate.
• Monitor progress and adjust therapy interventions based on outcomes and educational needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.

Position Details

• Location: In Person, 1 hour per week
• School Year: 2026/2027

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to identify functional, developmental, sensory, fine motor, and self-care needs that impact educational performance.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans in accordance with students' IEP goals.
• Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, evaluations, and therapy records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
• Recommend and support the use of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications when appropriate.
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy interventions based on outcomes and educational needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions regarding student services and accommodations.
• Support compliance with applicable special education regulations and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Arizona, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Previous experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations preferred.
• Knowledge of special education processes, IEPs, and school-based therapy practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Knowledge of assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and sensory integration strategies preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred, if required by the district.
