Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our full-time school-based team in Upper Marlboro, MD. This role supports students in developing functional, sensory, and motor skills needed for classroom success and beyond.

As part of a collaborative educational team, you will work with teachers, families, and other specialists to help students reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• Fingerprints on district.
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services in individual and group settings.
• Support fine motor development, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-care, and functional life skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation, treatment records, and progress reports.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and therapeutic strategies to support student success.
