Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited university.
• Appropriate license as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Health Professions.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a National Provider Identification (NPI) number prior to employment.
• Thorough knowledge of school-based occupational therapy principles.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate student function and identify those needing therapy services.
• Design and implement appropriate therapies and maintain records.
• Choose activities to improve student performance in skill areas.
• Assist with modifications for student tasks to accommodate needs.
• Contribute to IEPs, evaluations, and progress reports.
