Job summary

Buckeye Elementary School District seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist to deliver educational OT services across district campuses.

You will evaluate students with physical, developmental, and learning disabilities; develop and implement IEP-aligned intervention plans; and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to maximize student independence and functional performance in the school environment.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid AOTCB certification and Arizona OT licensure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• School-based experience preferred; preschool experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students’ functional performance and educational needs.
• Develop and implement IEP-aligned OT intervention plans.
• Write evaluation reports and maintain documentation including therapy notes, IEP paperwork, and Medicaid billing.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to support student success.
• Supervise one COTA and monitor program implementation.
• Attend IEP meetings and communicate with families.
• Facilitate transitions across service settings (early intervention to school age, etc.).
