Job summary

Lompoc Unified School District seeks a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide educationally related OT services for eligible students. You will assess students, prepare reports, and deliver direct and consultative services aligned with IEP goals.

The role includes developing treatment plans, collaborating with the IEP team, and supporting transitions and accommodations across school sites. Applicants should maintain necessary California licensure and certifications as required by the CBOT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
• Licensed to operate as an Occupational Therapist in California (CBOT).
• First aid and CPR certification within six months of employment.
• NBCOT certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of students’ functional abilities across motor, sensory, self-care, and daily living domains and prepare written reports.
• Provide direct and consultative OT services to students within the school setting.
• Develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans and IEP goals; participate in IEP meetings.
• Plan and organize therapy sessions; maintain equipment, materials, and safe learning environments; document services and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and staff to coordinate scheduling and supports for students.
• Provide training and support to families and staff on adaptive strategies and equipment use.
• Ensure program compliance with state and federal laws and district policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
