Job summary

Anchorage School District is seeking licensed Occupational Therapists to join our team. The successful candidate will provide direct consultative and collaborative services to students ages 3 through 21, focusing on hand function, oral-motor skills, sensory motor abilities, and accessibility within the school setting.

This position requires Alaska educator certification and will report to Related Services. Salary ranges from $61,454 to $88,919 DOE, with an additional 6% increase, and retirement

Qualifications

• Valid Alaska type C special services certificate with endorsement in occupational therapy.
• Valid Alaska license for the practice of occupational therapy.
• Degree in occupational therapy from an accredited university recognized by AOTA or WFOT.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation of students using standardized and non-standardized assessments to determine OT need.
• Establishes functional school-based OT goals in fine motor, oral motor and self-care areas.
• Develops and implements therapeutic activities to access educational programs.
• Reassesses plans regularly and documents progress on OT goals.
