Job summary

Great Salt Bay Community School seeks an Occupational Therapist to support Pre-K to 8th-grade students with disabilities. You will assess fine motor, sensory-motor, and functional skills and create individualized therapy plans.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists; document progress and participate in IEP team meetings. Maine licensure and NBCOT are required, with school-based experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active State of Maine Occupational Therapist License.
• National Board Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• CHRC approval for working in Maine public schools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate fine motor, visual-perceptual, functional, and sensory-motor skills in the school setting.
• Design and implement individualized therapy programs for diverse developmental needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, specialists and support staff.
• Administer evaluations, write reports, track progress, and participate in IEP meetings.
• Maintain accurate student records and therapy notes.
