Job summary

Spencer Britt seeks an experienced Physician Assistant to provide primary medical care in a school-based mobile health setting across the Bay Area. The role includes exams, management of acute and chronic conditions, health education and coordination of specialty services.

You will maintain confidential EMRs, travel between sites, and participate in community outreach while collaborating with physicians and staff. California license and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• California Physician Assistant license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of directly related experience preferred.
• Community or public health experience preferred.
• State Office of Family Planning Certificate if working in a family planning program.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care through a school-based mobile health setting.
• Perform comprehensive examinations, evaluations, diagnosis and treatment.
• Manage acute and chronic health concerns with prevention and health promotion.
• Provide follow-up care and health education, coordination of specialty services.
• Order referrals, laboratory testing and diagnostic studies as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on preventive care, diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate, confidential electronic medical records.
• Work independently while collaborating with physicians and other clinical staff.
• Participate in health education, prevention and community outreach programs.
• Contribute to quality assurance, peer review and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in staff training, workshops and professional development.
• Local travel between sites may be required, with occasional travel for events.
