Job summary

Britt Medical in the Bay Area is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide primary medical care via a school-based mobile health setting. You will perform examinations, diagnose and treat conditions, and manage health needs across acute and chronic conditions while promoting prevention and health education.

Ideal candidates will have a California PA license, BLS certification, and strong communication skills, with 1+ year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• California PA license currently active.
• BLS/CPR certification current.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred.
• 1+ year related experience preferred.
• Public health or community health experience preferred.
• State Family Planning certificate if in family planning program.
• Reliable transportation to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care through a school-based mobile health setting.
• Perform comprehensive exams, evaluations, diagnosis and treatment.
• Manage acute and chronic health concerns with prevention and health promotion.
• Provide follow-up care, health education and coordinate specialty services.
• Order referrals, labs and diagnostics as clinically appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on preventive care and treatment plans.
• Maintain confidential electronic medical records.
• Work independently while collaborating with physicians and clinical staff.
• Participate in health education, prevention and community outreach.
• Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in staff training and professional development.
• Local travel between sites; occasional travel for events.
