Job summary

Balance Point Wellness, LLC provides school-based mental health therapy to children and adolescents in Baltimore County Public schools, as well as telehealth and community programs. We support clinicians with professional growth, flexible scheduling, and uncapped earning potential through fee-for-service and 1099 arrangements.

Ideal candidates hold an LMSW/LCSW-C/LGPC/LCPC/LCMFT or psychology credential with Maryland licensure, and have experience in community-based settings; full-time W-2

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling is required.
• Current Maryland licensure that authorizes mental health treatment.
• Background check required prior to employment.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Experience in a community-based setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload and provide ongoing individual mental health therapy.
• Provide clinically appropriate therapy services to children and adolescents.
• Complete psychosocial assessments.
• Develop and update person-centered treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Complete timely contact notes and clinical documentation for all sessions.
• Document all services through our cloud-based EHR.
• Collaborate with school personnel, families, and other treatment team members.
• Provide services in accordance with professional standards and students’ needs.

About this position

Description: Balance Point Wellness, LLC is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Healthcare (ACHC) and is a community-based mental health and wellness organization serving individuals and families throughout Maryland. Balance Point Wellness provides mental health therapy and psychiatry services to children, adolescents, adults, and families through our community-based locations, Telehealth services, and school-based programs.

Balance Point Wellness is seeking talented staff members to join our team! We are seeking qualified licensed therapists (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LCMFT, Psychologist, etc.) to provide mental health therapy services to children and adolescents in Baltimore County Public schools.

*Please note this is NOT a Guidance Counselor position. This is a Mental Health Therapist position within the Baltimore County Public schools.*

Therapist Job Responsibilities:

• Manage an assigned caseload and provide ongoing individual mental health therapy.

Requirements

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling is required.
• Current Maryland licensure that authorizes the provision of mental health treatment.
• Previous psychotherapy experience in a community-based setting is preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation.

Salary Information

$45 - $65Hourly Wage
