Job summary

Balance Point Wellness is seeking licensed mental health clinicians to provide therapy to children and adolescents within Baltimore County Public schools. Roles include caseload management, psychosocial assessments, and treatment planning, with EHR documentation and collaboration with school staff.

We offer W-2 fee-for-service and 1099 opportunities, uncapped earning potential, and robust benefits for eligible full-time employees, including PTO, insurance, retirement, and clinical supervision.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
• Current Maryland licensure authorizing mental health treatment.
• Background check completed successfully.
• Experience in community-based psychotherapy preferred.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload and provide ongoing individual mental health therapy.
• Provide clinically appropriate therapy services to children and adolescents.
• Complete psychosocial assessments.
• Develop and update person-centered treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Complete timely contact notes and clinical documentation for all sessions.
• Document all services through our cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Collaborate with school personnel, families, and other members of the treatment team as appropriate.
• Provide services in accordance with professional standards and the needs of each student.

Balance Point Wellness, LLC is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Healthcare (ACHC) and is a community-based mental health and wellness organization serving individuals and families throughout Maryland. Balance Point Wellness provides mental health therapy and psychiatry services to children, adolescents, adults, and families through our community-based locations, Telehealth services, and school-based programs.

Balance Point Wellness is seeking talented staff members to join our team! We are seeking qualified licensed therapists (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LCMFT, Psychologist, etc.) to provide mental health therapy services to children and adolescents in Baltimore County Public schools.

*Please note this is NOT a Guidance Counselor position. This is a Mental Health Therapist position within the Baltimore County Public schools.*

Therapist Job Responsibilities:

Requirements:

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling is required.
• Current Maryland licensure that authorizes the provision of mental health treatment.
• Previous psychotherapy experience in a community-based setting is preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation.
