Job summary

The State of South Carolina's Office of Mental Health invites applications for a School-Based Mental Health Professional I serving Aiken and Barnwell Counties. Embedded in schools, you will provide recovery‑oriented counseling and related behavioral health services to students and families, including assessment, treatment planning, and case management.

You will work under supervision to deliver services in clinics, schools, and homes as needed, maintain documentation per QA standards, and pursue

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field that meets licensure eligibility as LPC, LISW-CP, or LMFT.
• Credentialing and privileging eligibility as mental health professional in accordance with BHDD-Office of Mental Health Quality Management.
• Evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care (practicum/internship or post-graduate).

Responsibilities

• Provide an array of clinical services including assessment, treatment planning, crisis management, individual, group, and family therapy, and case coordination.
• Deliver services in clinic, community, and/or patient homes with person-centered, recovery-oriented approach.
• Document services in accordance with QA and required standards (discharge planning, Plans of Care, Progress Summaries, Safety Plans).
• Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, staff, and community partners to facilitate linkages to services.
• Participate in meetings, supervision, and interagency staffing as needed.
• Maintain required certifications and licenses and pursue ongoing professional development.
