Job summary

Seneca’s Non Public Schools Programs is hiring for a Classroom Support Counselor to guide elementary to high school students to success at Bridges Academy in Oakland, CA. The role provides healing-centered individual and family therapy, case management, and mental health assessments within a school setting.

You will collaborate with caregivers, teachers, and counselors to celebrate student progress and ensure academic goals are met.

Qualifications

• Education/experience: Bachelor's degree OR Associate degree with 1 year relevant experience OR High school diploma with 2 years relevant experience
• Experience with youth in mental health or classroom-facing settings preferred
• Own vehicle and valid CA driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 behavioral and therapeutic support within school settings
• Collaborate with caregivers, teachers, and counselors to support student goals
• Maintain safety and supervise students at all times
• Complete data collection and service documentation for program outcomes
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as trained
