Job summary

Waco Family Medicine is seeking a School-Linked Behavioral Health Clinician to provide counseling and support to middle school students, integrating care with the FQHC and local school district.

Requires a Master’s in Counseling or Social Work, Texas LPC/LCSW license, crisis intervention skills, and experience with youth therapies; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus; position based at an Elementary School campus with occasional work at WFM sites.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• Active Texas license as LPC or LCSW required before hire.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, short-term therapy, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Experience providing therapy to children/adolescents is preferred.
• Experience in school or community-based settings is preferred.
• Training in evidence-based practices for youth (e.g., CBT, TF-CBT, DBT).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioral health services including counseling to middle school students.
• Coordinate with Waco Family Medicine providers for referrals and care planning.
• Document services in the EHR and ensure compliance with HIPAA and FERPA.
• Support program development and outcomes tracking to improve service delivery.
• Engage families and school staff in care planning and progress updates.
