Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. in New Hanover County, NC is seeking a Qualified Professional – School-Based to join our Child & Adolescent Day Treatment team.

This full-time role supports students in school and community settings, delivering therapeutic interventions and shaping treatment plans. You will work with families, schools, and community partners, facilitate team meetings, and maintain clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field is required.
• Two years post-bachelor’s experience with mental health populations.
• Meets NC requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104 as a Mental Health Qualified Professional.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapeutic and skill-building interventions in school and community settings.
• Support behavioral functioning, coping skills, social skills, and educational success.
• Develop and implement Person-Centered Plans.
• Facilitate Child and Family Team meetings.
• Collaborate with families, schools, treatment providers, and community partners.
• Provide psychoeducation related to mental health and substance use.
• Monitor client progress and coordinate transitions to appropriate services.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Perform approved physical restraints when clinically necessary and in accordance with required training and organizational policy.

Are You Qualified?

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field.
• Two (2) years of post-bachelor’s experience working with a mental health population.
• Meets North Carolina requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104 for a Mental Health Qualified Professional (QP). Two (2) years of documented experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
