Job summary

Community Care Of West Virginia Inc is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support the Director of Nursing in providing quality nursing care across assigned areas. You will administer medications, perform venous draws, and assist with IV procedures after training, while documenting care and coordinating with the health care team.

You will also teach patients and caregivers, participate in meetings, and help maintain equipment and supplies in a dynamic health care setting.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in West Virginia.
• Completion of an accredited LPN program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification.
• One year experience in medical/surgical nursing or outpatient clinic setting preferred.
• Ability to administer medications and perform venous blood draws.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in assigned areas following standards and individualized patient needs.
• Administer medication accurately and document responses.
• Perform venous blood draws and IV insertion after training.
• Document observations and interventions in the medical record.
• Coordinate communication among patient, family, staff, and providers.
• Educate patients and caregivers as delegated by the Director of Nursing.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in quality initiatives.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, stock rooms, and inventory control.
