Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a fully licensed School-Based Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California for a part-time/PRN role. The position focuses on counseling high school students, with sessions scheduled during school hours across multiple sites.

Travel between campuses and onsite collaboration with school teams are required. You will provide individual and group counseling, maintain student confidentiality, and use trauma-informed approaches to support students’ well‑being.

Qualifications

• Active, full license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• Associate-level or pre-licensed candidates cannot be considered for this role.
• Availability during school hours, approximately 8:30 AM-3:15 PM.
• Reliable transportation for travel between school sites.
• Ability to complete required state clearances and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to high school students as assigned.
• Create and manage your own session schedule across assigned sites.
• Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral well‑being using trauma-informed approaches.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success.
• Travel between school sites as assigned and maintain FERPA-compliant documentation.
