Job summary

COMHAR is seeking a compassionate Licensed Behavioral Consultant to provide individualized, person-centered behavioral support to children, youth, and young adults with behavioral health needs in the IBHS program. You will work in homes, schools, and community settings, implementing treatment plans and promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.

This per diem position collaborates with families and a multidisciplinary team to ensure meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year full-time experience providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults.
• Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field.
• Individuals who provide ABA services shall meet one of the following:

Responsibilities

• Complete and Conduct Client Assessments within 15 days of initiation of Services
• Observation of the child in school, community or home settings as part of the initial assessment
• Development of the intervention plan and instruction to the treatment team
• Collaboration with the interagency team to complement plans across school, home and community
• Consultation to the treatment team when problems arise in implementation
• Regular/documented monthly peer reviews with a licensed psychologist
• Revision of the intervention plan as needed
• Adherence to all paperwork guidelines per CASSP principles

Education

Graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling
