Elementary School-Based Instructional Coach Job Description

Role: Work closely with the K-8 Director, school administrators, and curriculum & instructional specialists to increase student engagement, improve student achievement, and build teacher capacity. Must be able to lead collaborative team workshops, grade-level teacher learning team cycles, and one-on-one coaching rounds. Coaches must understand the district curriculum goals, be able to analyze student data, and help teachers identify instructional needs.

Salary: 10 month Teacher Salary as designated by NCDPI teaching schedule.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
