Job summary

Intercept Health is seeking a Therapeutic Aide to work 1:1 or in small groups with students in a local school district. You will implement trauma-informed behavior strategies to increase coping skills and pro-social behaviors while reducing unsafe or disruptive behavior.

You will observe client progress, collect data for assessments, and collaborate with school staff. Training parents/caregivers in behavior management will help generalize skills across settings.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma and prior professional experience working with children.
• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science preferred; ABA experience is a plus.
• Ability to implement trauma-informed behavior strategies and collect data for progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students in a local school district.
• Implement behavior management strategies to increase coping and pro-social skills.
• Observe and document client skills; collect data for program goals.
• Collaborate with school personnel; attend meetings; coach parents/caregivers in behavior management.

Hourly compensation expectation is up to $20/hour (based on experience). Hours of availability required: Monday - Friday 7 AM - 4:00 PM

As a Therapeutic Aide, you will work 1:1 or in a small group setting with clients inside a local school district. You will implement behavior principles to increase use of coping skills and pro-social skills in the school environment and decreasing unsafe or disruptive behavior using trauma-informed methods. You will observe client skills and collect data to be used in assessing the individual's skills and to develop their program goals. You will collaborate with school personnel, attend school-related meetings and provide coaching, training, and support to parents and/or caregivers in behavior management strategies to increase generalization of individual's skill sets.

Education and Experience Required: The selected candidate will have at least a high school diploma and previous professional experience working with children. Bachelor's degree in Behavioral science is preferred; specific experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience, is a plus!
