Job summary

Heartline Staffing in Floyd, Virginia, seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a school-based outpatient role. Work Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM with no evenings or weekends, delivering care to students and school personnel.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified, licensed in Virginia, and able to practice independently, with experience in pediatrics/adolescents and minor procedures such as suturing.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with Virginia license.
• Active DEA Registration.
• Ability to Practice Independently.
• Experience caring for pediatric and adolescent patients.
• Experience performing minor procedures including suturing.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• School-based or primary care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries in students.
• Provide direct outpatient care to students and school staff.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing.
• Coordinate care with school staff and healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
