Job summary

Gamut School is seeking a Lead Clinician to join its therapeutic team and help lead the social-emotional program. This role focuses on integrating DBT into daily activities for children and adolescents in a specialized educational setting.

The Lead Clinician will provide direct individual and group therapy, collaborate with families and school staff, co-lead monthly DBT groups for parents, and support ongoing development of the school’s DBT program.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree with NY licensure.
• Foundational experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Children or Adolescents (DBT-C/DBT-A).
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy using Comprehensive School-Based DBT.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the educational team.
• Assess safety, respond to crises, and provide inter-session support between sessions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and external providers to ensure a holistic approach to student care.
