Job summary

The Data-Collector (Casual I) at Education Development Center supports a federally funded study by administering tablet-based assessments to kindergarten and first-grade students in selected schools. This hybrid, part-time role requires in-person classroom work in Madison, Wisconsin, with travel to additional sites as needed during specified data collection windows.

You will complete trainings, pass background checks, maintain data entries within 24 hours, and coordinate with teachers and study

Qualifications

Successful completion of Human Subjects training and certification.
Successful completion of child assessment training.
Criminal background check required by state DOE for data collectors.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Responsibilities

Participate in study orientation meeting and all data collection and study trainings.
Become a reliable assessment administrator.
Travel locally/regionally to elementary schools within data collection sites.
Conduct assessments with kindergarten and first grade students.
Complete data entry and follow-up notes within 24 hours of data collection.
Coordinate and communicate with study team leaders to follow established data collection protocols.
