Job summary

Soliant Health in Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a contract role to support students in a school-based setting near Labelle. You will contribute to students’ educational journeys while collaborating with a network of supportive professionals.

Required: Associate’s degree from an accredited COTA program, valid state COTA license, NBCOT certification, and at least one year of pediatric or school experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
• Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Certification by the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
• At least one year of recent experience, ideally in a school or pediatric environment.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check.
• Commitment to continuing education and ongoing professional development as required by the state and district.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Carry out therapeutic activities and interventions designed to help students meet their educational and developmental objectives.
• Monitor student progress, maintaining meticulous documentation and working with the OT to refine treatment plans.
• Partner with teachers, school staff, and families to advocate for and support each student’s needs.
• Ensure compliance with all documentation and recordkeeping as mandated by state and school district policies.
• Participate in professional development activities to maintain cutting-edge knowledge in the occupational therapy field.
