Job summary

LEARN Regional Educational Service Center in Connecticut seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support students in LEARN magnets and district contracts. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, administer screenings and interventions, and help develop IEPs to enable access to learning.

You will monitor progress through data and work in a supportive environment focused on student dignity and inclusion, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential and relevant coursework.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills applicable to school settings.
• Knowledge of developmental milestones and evidence-based assessments/interventions for students.
• Experience with students with complex needs in educational contexts is preferred.
• Ability to follow therapy plans, document progress accurately, and communicate with supervising therapists.
• Commitment to student dignity, inclusion, confidentiality, safety and equity in learning.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting and assisting students as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to create student programming.
• Administer screenings, assessments and direct interventions with students.
