ProCare Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in a dynamic school-based setting near Ypsilanti, MI. You will deliver direct therapy under supervision of an Occupational Therapist and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student independence.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Michigan.
• Prior experience in either educational or healthcare environments, preferably with school-aged children.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to individual student needs.
• Commitment to supporting student achievement and participation within the school community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals for each student.
• Assist with evaluations, documentation, and progress reports as required.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to tailor interventions in classrooms and throughout the school.
• Contribute to classroom modifications, adaptive equipment usage, and sensorimotor activities to foster student independence.
